Hello Members,
I hope you have all seen some increased activity in this traditionally busy time even under difficult financial circumstances.
The reason for this post is quite simple, in recent months our forum had been infiltrated by scammers to an alarming degree mostly due to the change in the forum set up earlier this year which has caused problems for Lyndon and recently for myself.
Let me explain, what we want is for everyone to enjoy the forum, share what we know and to ask for help with what we don’t and I’m sure you will agree that this is what a forum is for. Unfortunately some members, mostly new ones have used this forum to bombard the site with spam posts and to attach those same posts to other genuine member’s posts.
The rules of the forum are quite simple:-
You are not allowed to advertise your services or products outside of the advertising section.
If you want to place a link to your website, you can do this on any post or comment you like as long as it is underneath your signature (like mine below).
As any experienced marketer knows, the most important thing to do in this business is to create backlinks to your site, that is how Google spiders will pick up on your activities.
Placing backlinks to your website on posts in forums is great, so are links to your site in the bio section at the bottom of any articles that you submit to directories,
Making comments on other people’s blog articles is also another way of creating backlinks to your site.
In closing can I just make a few simple points:-
Enjoy the forum, contribute as much as you can because in good forums you usually get much more back in return.
Stick to the advertising section to advertise what you are offering.
Do not place any URL’s or links in the text of any post or comments on other people’s posts.
Do leave links to your site underneath your signature if you wish.
Failure to adhere to these simple rules may result in posts being removed and persistent offenders may be banned.
have a great weekend,
to your success,
Mal.
