I prefer to submit my sites to directories manually, rather than use an automated submission program. Usually those automated program do not pass the turing numbers.

I favour manual submissions too, however I usually pay someone to do them as to be done properly is very time consuming.

I assume SEO linking includes exchanging links. Does it still work in increasing page rank? I know it can be tedious, having to communicate with the other website's administrator and setting up the links, but before, it was a preferred way of increasing the number of visitors and page rank.

I submit by hand right now, what are the benefits of using a program like this? I have seen a lot of them and assumed that the ROI wouldn't be enough to justify my using the services.
