Default Problems with wokring from home

Hi guys. Looking into working from home and would like to know what problems people face when they are working from home?

Looking at reasons people have trouble starting an online business etc.

Thanks

I agree with Coralee

The biggest problem I have though is people thinking that just because I work from home, that I have unlimited social time when they fancy popping around for coffee.....

HI

I too have been working from home for over 6 years now. I find that it takes self discipline and a set schedule.
Although we may be working from home, we still need to keep the "at work mentality".

If you are looking into options to work at home, a resource that has helped me and became a blessing to my family is SOHO Jobs - Small Office, Home Office Jobs and Resources
I have been hired by 3 different companies in the past several months that pay well and
I can be a "virutal assistant & customer service rep" from my home office.
I love it!!

I think what gets challenging is we know there are great opportunities available, we just need to find them.
I am a support of the sohojobs.org, because it screens all companies who want to post on there forum and investigates and posts the "scams".

I would check it out and at least sign up for their newsletter and research the tools available.

Being in the "work from home" arena for quite some time now, I know how frustrating in
can be to not only find a legit job, but to also follow through and make a an income.

Dedicated to helping you achieve an ultimate way of life ~

Hi,

Both Lyndon and Coralee make good points. You may find that your family and friends do not take working at home seriously which can lead to problems with boundaries. It can be hard to tell someone 'I am working and don't want to be disturbed' and actually get them to understand and accept it and allow you the space to work effectively.

To help with these issues a person should set up a work at home area that is specifically for work and make sure as best as you can that this area will not be disturbed. When you are in the work area no personal phones calls or interruptions should be allowed.

Mal.

It's very hard to balance your family and business from home..it's true that you have to have a schedule and stick to it..there sometimes can be so many interruptions that can take you away from your work. Balancing my family and work is definetly the biggest challenge I face on a daily basis..

I have a tendency to do things like pay bills, surf the net talk on the phone rather then actually work.
