Angry & Disappointed?
Hi JhM,
Thanks for your reply, unfortunately you have completely misinterpreted my post, that's the problem with the writtern word.
I am definitely not angry or disappointed at all. I was merely pointing out to oziekiel some of the dangers you can face in running a business from home which I have experienced first hand. I did not say that everyone is trying to bleed money just that one particular company is, which I am sure you are aware of. There are companies that will have you paying, first of all, for a starter pack then stock, training and website. That's not to mention the advertising they encourage you to pay for.
I am extremely happy now I run a very successful business that gives me a chance to earn a fantastic living and drive a mercedes. My business cost me less than £100.00 to set up and I have no other costs whatsoever.
I hope you're happy with your business but if someone asks you to invest £2500.00 in stock its probably not a viable business opportunity.
All the best

Not everyone who works from home is doing so with their own business.
I have a business I started from my home and now have merged it within my fintess center.
However, due trial and error over the years my husband and I are still in over our heads with debt, so I still wish to do work from my home on my spare time.
Thanks to a company called SoHoJobs, I can work from my home for a company and get paid a regular paycheck without "running my own at home business".
It is possible for people to work from home and earn a paycheck without starting their own business.

I agree with JhM
However, not everyone who works from their home runs their own business.
I too, have an "at home business" with a health & wellness company, but I too, do very part time work from my home for an online company doing typing and data entry.
The company I do work for part time, pays me weekly! It is not a business, it is work for someone else's business.
People can find jobs like that at on different forums. I personally enjoy sohojobs.org.
That is how I found the work to do from home without having to start another business.
Just wanted to clear that up. Not all people who work from home, own their own business.
Best to you!

What do you think stops people from working from home or gives them problems in setting up a home business?
All thoughts, comments and ideas welcome.
Thanks.

For me its simple - its the risk. To start-up you need an amount of cash however small you need something. By definition people working from home will want to work but personal constratints mean that their options are opssibly limited. This may sound like Spam but it is not. I know of a way that you can make at least a few hundred pound which you could use as your cash required to start up. I am passionate about this becasue it works an therefore no one can ever say that they did not have the money to start. I have posted this on a web page so - one that does not cost. see what I mean at Free Money : Free Bets Offers and Deals : Make Free Easy Money

Work From Home
Hi members,
There have been some excellent replies to this post by Ozikiel which just goes to show the value of forums because we all have different interpretations of what constitutes working from home and what we all want to get out of it.
However, I have noticed that some of you are missing out on linkage with your posts. The fundamental purpose of forums is to share our knowledge and support others in any way we can but a bonus in the posts we make and the replies we give is that we can create back links to our sites or blogs by leaving a link ‘below’ our signature. Please note:- This facility is only available after you have posted 15 times
These links must not appear anywhere in the body of the text which some are still doing which is against forum rules but a signature link is picked up by the search engine spiders which trawl forums for new content and links to your site are essential for building up your SEO.
If you are not sure how to do this please go to user CP in the top left hand corner then click on ‘edit signature’. There you will find a box where you can place a link which automatically appears under your signature every time you post.
An example of a link would be:-
(url=http://www.fabwebsite.com]Work From Home[/COLOR)
Where fabwebsite is the name of your site and work from home is the text that appears under your signature. Before you save your settings don’t forget to change the ( ) brackets at the beginning and end to [ ] which will enable it to be clickable as I have placed ordinary brackets in this example to avoid placing a bad link in the text.
hope that helps,
regards,
Mal.

For what ever reason, this option is not showing up in the list of edit choices in the user CP.
Anyway, on point of this thread, the thing I have found over a 20 year period where I tried 2 companies, Mary Kay Cosmetics and Quixtar, is that you must not go into somthing because someone else "pressures" you to or "convinces" you that you would be great at it. If you don't feel the excitement and total belief that you can do this and want to do this, then there is NO shame in continuing to look for what works for YOU. In the last 15 years my husband and I developed and ran our own lodging business. It was great. the "selling" was easy for with advertising, the customers were already interested in us when they called. With the two companies I listed above, the reason they did not work for me is the way you had to go out and "get" customers to buy and eventually, sign up under you. The whole process made me feel uncomfortable. BUT, that's just ME. With Internet Marketing, I'm in my element. There are so many avenues that allow me to custom tailor my ways to develop streams of income. So, the most important thing I can share is to:
1. Take you time before committing to any business. Do not act on impulse, but on education. Allow yourself time to brainstorm and explore the possible business ideas.
2. RESEARCH, RESEARCH, RESEARCH, especially for scam reports. I do this: in your search engine, type the name of the business+review see what pops up.
3. Try not to be in a position of "having to make money NOW", as you search for and develop your business. Haste does make waste, and leaves you vulnerable to snap decisions and open to greed based, not good sense based, actions.
4. Take time to lay a solid foundation. I've been working on my startup foundation for a little over a month. A lot of reading, setting things up, writing and developing my plan. I'm giving myself one year to reach the financial goal I have set. No regrets to date!
Until next time...
Annie

Legitimate Home Jobs
Hi, there I want to direct you to Tory Johnson's information on the web. She works for Good Morning America and just put out a new book. If you Google: Tory Johnson's Work-From-Home Tips, you can get an entire website devoted to LEGITIMATE Home Jobs. This is information for no-nonsense, no commition-type work where you are guaranteed a paycheck no matter how hard you work.
One problem with LEGITIMATE Home Work is that you are competing again a huge amount of people. Unlike your local company where you are competing against a few dozen or hundred applications. You will be competing against many thousand applications for a few jobs.
I also want to pass a tip along to anyone from Tampa and Dallas. Hilton Hotels are starting to have telecommuters in these areas that allow people to take reservations from home. Unfortunately, the opportunity isn't open to any other areas at this time. I would keep an eye on Hilton to see if this extends to others.
Click on my ID, drobert60, to check out my website for more information on work at home ideas.
If this has helped, let me know.

Hi Mal...actually, I manually added my signature using the link option in the message formatting bar, and still am not able to see the edit signature in the list of edit email etc, options in the CP...It seems to be un-seeable (probably not a real word!).
Thanks, Annie
