And pigs might fly. The banks make so much money from cheques that theres no way that they are going to do this.
HSBC recorded the largest profits ever in the world for a bank last year - why would they give up this profit - its all about the shareholders - natwest takes 5 days to clear a guaranteed cheque even though they say it 4 days (but its not available until the day after... which is 5 days)
