Default Finances

Do you hire an accountant? Or do you go about doing the finances for you company yourself? Since i run a home based business i dont earn enough to hire others to do my finances. I must do them on my own.

I must first calculate how much i must to break even thus creating how much i must sell a month and what i must sell my products at.

Second I must know how much I need for misc business activities such as materials and advertising. Once I figure that in I must add in to how much more i should earn and expect to earn back from this.

After all this i would need to know what percentage of profit i'd like to be making. usually i choose around 20%-40% in profits. This is enough to pay minor bills at home or for luxury activities.
