Default PayPal/eBay taxes..

Yes, not like the government doesn't take ENOUGH from us in the form of taxes.. now thy are trying to stick their greedy lil fingers into our home based internet garage sale by inventing a tax for the earnings we get on eBay! Any opinions on this? Mine of course is negative..

So did this ever go into effect. And beings that alot of people use paypal in other things they do to get payed does this mean that the paypal accounts will be turned into the IRS? I know we are suppoused to claim any money that we made using our paypal account but to be honest I haven't made enough to really worry about claiming it. I am just talking about claiming what gets paid into my paypal account.

I certainly haven't heard anything about such a thing going into effect. I do know that there have been rumors of taxes on all kinds of internet things ever since I arrived on the scene 12 years ago and nothing ever came of any of it. Hope that holds true for this one, too.
